Retreat of the Finnish District

From the 6th to the 10th of September 2010 the members of the Finnish SCJ District gathered the Bridgettine Convent Guest House in Tallin, Estonia, for their yearly retreat.

The theme of the retreat was Anima Christi Prayer as a way of deepening Dehonian Spirituality. Talks and reflections were given by fr. Heiner Wilmer SCJ, the superior of the German SCJ Province. The retreat, held in silence, was a blessed time of spiritual renewal so much needed for priests who are involved in various pastoral duties in Finland.

At the end of the retreat on Thursday evening, September 9th, there was a joyful celebration of birthdays of three SCJ’s from the Finnish SCJ District, among which was Fr. Frans Voss SCJ, who on the 3rd of September celebrated his 75th birthday.

After the retreat on Friday, September 10th, all members of the FIN District gathered for a meeting on which the most important issues concerning District’s life were discussed.
